I returned to Nireas Restaurant after a month, having had two previous visits that didn’t quite impress me, despite its reputation for being a quality establishment. Though the vibe of the place is really nice.
My earlier experiences included a lackluster salad and a mediocre breakfast featuring eggs and avocado.
This visit, however, was with a group of four, and we decided to share dishes to sample a broader range.
A friend recommended the malai kofta, a favorite among us, so we ordered two servings. We also chose an aloo gobi and a ‘Nireas’ healthy bowl, to which I added peanut sauce.
Another friend opted for the Buddha Healthy Bowl with two types of sauces, including my favorite, peanut butter. She found it quite satisfactory.
The malai kofta turned out to be the best I’ve had in Goa. The gravy was creamy, with an inviting orange hue, and absolutely delightful.
The koftas were soft and tasty, though not the best I’ve ever had. The dish as a whole was excellent. The accompanying roti wasn’t exceptional, but it didn’t detract much from the overall meal.
The aloo gobi was also impressive, well-spiced, and enjoyable even without roti. The sauce was great and the vegetables were cooked just right.
The healthy bowl was merely okay, feeling a bit small and lacking in the peanut sauce i so waited for. Anyway i forgot to take a picture of it, but i assure you it wasn’t that appealing like it was at Bibhitaki.
We then tried the Nutella momo, as I was hoping for a better experience than the one at Kanvas. And it did not disappoint.
The momos were perfectly fried, with a balanced amount of Nutella, accompanied by an extra chocolate sauce that was unnecessary and not particularly good.
Overall, this visit to Nireas Restaurant was a delightful experience with really good food.
I didn’t have my computer this time, but from previous work sessions here, I recall the internet being quite reliable, and the seating comfort is more than adequate
I plan to return to Nireas for both dining and work in the future.
