Nada Brahma, a place I’ve now visited three times, usually offers impressive Wi-Fi speeds around 90Mbps. However, with many other nomads working here today, the speed varied, initially around 50Mbps, dropping to 40, then peaking at 100 after a couple of hours.
The restaurant is quite big having a big area and a smaller area and also an area on the roof of the bar.
Its equipped with numerous power outlets, though not all seating areas are conducive to working with a laptop. Ventilation is ample, ensuring a comfortable environment.
Owned by Peter and Anat, a British-Israeli couple, Nada Brahma has been operational for 9 years. The menu, shared with its sister restaurant Kanvas, showcases a blend of British, Israeli, and Indian cuisines.
Nada Brahma Menu
The beef hamburger, their signature dish and my primary reason for visiting, is as good as always. Notably, the mayonnaise here, just like at Kanvas, is a delightful eggless variety – the best I’ve had in the area.
I started with the icy lemon ginger honey drink, a unique offering here, and found it refreshingly good.
As usual, I ordered the hamburger, this time with an added fried egg for an extra 50 rupees (which actually included two eggs). I opted to substitute fries with coleslaw, which is excellent at this location.
The hamburger presentation was visually appealing. Here, the patty is slightly smaller than at Kanvas, but it’s cooked to a perfect medium-well, unlike Kanvas’s well-done version.
Another plus is the double portion of cheese compared to Kanvas, making the burger here slightly superior, despite the identical ingredients and menu.
I concluded my meal with a mango lassi, serving as a makeshift dessert since I didn’t have time for a full dessert experience. For my next visit, I plan to explore an Indian dish along with a proper dessert, probably the momo banana nutella.
Second visit at Nada Brahma
Date: 23/01/24, Time: 13:15
I visited Nada Brahma with a friend from the Bone and Body Clinic after we experienced a cold bath treatment.
He was eager to try the beef burger I had recommended. Meanwhile, I was interested in sampling an Indian dish.
We ended up meeting other nomad friends there, further confirming that Nada Brahma is truly an excellent spot for nomads, with a really nice atmosphere. One friend mentioned they have the best Coffee here.
As expected, my friend thoroughly enjoyed the beef burger, which maintained its consistent quality.
I especially loved the new fries they serve here, its much different than in Kanvas their other restaurant which i like better.
My experience with the Butter Chicken was less satisfying. While I appreciated the generous amount of chicken in the dish, the gravy was a letdown. It was too fluid and lacked any flavor, which was disappointing.
Third visit to Nada Brahma
During this visit to Nada Brahma, the Wi-Fi was not as reliable, fluctuating between 20-30Mbps. This may have been due to several friends already working in the area.
Additionally, my connection was weak with only 2 to 3 signal bars in the large seating area, which had just two tables with power outlets. These tables were in less comfortable spots with inadequate backrests and were quite warm due to there being only 2 fans, both of which were occupied.
Shortly after settling down and opening my computer, a waiter approached and instructed me to order before using my device –and thats before i even got a menu, a first for me in India.
After requesting a menu, I ordered the crispy cauliflower and a mixed fruit lassi. Both items arrived simultaneously (a heads-up to specify if you prefer them served separately).
The lassi was really good.
The crispy cauliflower, served with tahini, had a fantastic crispy texture, thanks to the high-quality panko used. However, the cauliflower itself was firmer than I prefer, and the tahini, while average, didn’t seem to complement the dish. An aioli or similar sauce might have been a better match.
Next, I ordered the beef cheese burger with fried eggs, opting for the standard serving with fries. The presentation was initially impressive, particularly the perfectly cooked eggs and the uniquely prepared fries, which I really enjoyed.
However, the burger patty was notably smaller than usual, about half its regular size, which was a letdown. Fortunately, some friends nearby shared their unfinished crispy schnitzel which was not bad, so I wasn’t left hungry.
A Zoom meeting later in the visit went smoothly, thanks to an improvement in Wi-Fi speed to 50Mbps after some nomads left.
Overall, this visit to Nada Brahma was just okay this time around, marked by some ups and downs.
