La Fetta

I planned to meet a couple of friends at La Fetta at 19:30 for pizza, as I prefer not to eat pizza alone.

Arriving early to assess the suitability for work, I appreciated the concise menu and decided to indulge in a pasta dish, despite the high carb content. I chose the butterscotch cream ravioli, which sounded interesting.

During a brief meeting with a client, my dish arrived. Once the meeting concluded, I noticed the ravioli had minimal parmesan, so I immediately requested more, which was promptly provided.

The dish had less cream than I expected, and contrary to my anticipation, it contained no cheese, just additional butterscotch cream. However, the ravioli itself was well-prepared – not overboiled or hard.

The cream lacked flavor and was quite bland. The added parmesan was essential, as without it, the dish would have been quite ordinary.

Additionally, the accompanying piece of bread, which was not toasted, was underwhelming. This dish was decent but not particularly memorable. I then awaited my friend’s arrival to order the pizza.

The Wi-Fi btw was pretty good at around 70Mbps and it was comfortable to sit here for a long time.

After my friends arrived, one ordered a pasta dish – a standard long pasta with a cream sauce. Despite requesting it without cheese, it arrived with cheese. Meanwhile, another friend and I decided to share a Quattro Formaggi pizza. But we started with the garlic bread.

The pasta was served first and actually looked quite appetizing. My friend commented that it was decent. The pasta was well-cooked, but like my ravioli, the cream sauce was rather bland and unremarkable.

However, the pizza was immediately disappointing just by looking at it. The dough was too thin and felt very ordinary.

There was no proper crust, and what little crust there was, was burnt. The tomato sauce seemed like a store-bought variety with minor tweaks, and the cheese was merely okay.

For dessert, we opted for a brownie with ice cream. Although it seemed like it had been heated in a microwave, it turned out to be fairly decent.

In summary, I wouldn’t recommend La Fetta for its food. The pizza, which should have been a standout dish, was the most disappointing, and the other dishes were just passable.
