I went to a vacation in Arambol, which included attending a party at Twice in Nature featuring a DJ I love named Shtuby,
First place i found myself in for food was Cookie Walla. This establishment exuded a relaxed vibe, and I was immediately drawn to the affordable dishes, especially the different variety of ‘Hello to the Queen‘ in The Royal Court section of desserts on the menu.
My friend and I decided to share a Malai Kofta and a Chicken Manchurian, accompanied by some butter chapatis.
The Malai Kofta, unfortunately, was underwhelming, served on a small plate with just one kofta.
The sauce was lackluster, and the kofta was just passable. Similarly, the butter chapatis were disappointing, being excessively thick.
The Chicken Manchurian, a dish I hadn’t tried elsewhere, was quite satisfactory. I enjoyed it but felt there was room for improvement, particularly with a better quality chapati.
The highlight of our visit was the dessert, the main attraction of this place for me was the different variations of ‘Hello to the Queen’
We chose ‘Hello to the Jokers,’ which turned out to be exceptional. It comprised a banana chocolate ball, a regular chocolate ball, and a coconut ball, which I didn’t prefer due to my dislike of coconut.
The ice cream was delightful, and the biscuits were notably special. While the bananas weren’t as caramelized as I would have wanted, and although I couldn’t discern any peanut butter, the dessert overall was impressive.
In summary, Cookie Walla is a pleasant establishment with a very amiable owner. While the main courses don’t seem to be good, the desserts are a standout reason to visit.
I wasn’t here with the computer and did not check the Wi-Fi but it does not seem like a good place to work in as the sitting is on the floor and there doesn’t seem to be any plugs around.
