Casanova Palolem

Casanova palolem, one of the highest-rated restaurants on Google Maps near Palolem beach, caught my attention despite often not being very crowded.

The atmosphere seemed inviting, the waiters were friendly, and the menu looked promising.

Finding a spot with a power outlet was a bit challenging; only one two-person table had a nearby plug, and a 4 people table which at an area of a plug but needed to move the table which was a slight inconvenience.

However, the Wi-Fi was impressively fast, reaching around 140Mbps. The wooden chairs with leather covers were very comfortable, and the background music added to the ambiance – for instance, “Let Her Go” by Passenger was playing during my visit.

I decided to start with standard fare, beginning with a half tandoori chicken.

Here, they use a paprika sauce that was superior to similar versions I’ve tried elsewhere. The chicken was adequately juicy, and while the fries were ordinary, the onion salad was a highlight.

For a small dessert, I chose a strawberry lassi. It wasn’t as thick as I prefer, but the strong strawberry flavor was satisfying.

Next up was the Malai Kofta, accompanied by cheese garlic naan.

The cheese garlic naan was abundant, a nice complement to the malai kofta, though the cheese was barely noticeable amidst the generous amount of garlic. Nonetheless, the naan itself was quite good.

The Malai Kofta was well-presented, with four koftas on a large plate. The gravy was good but not outstanding, and the koftas were tasty, though not extraordinary. It was a pleasant surprise to have four koftas, as most places tend to serve a smaller portion.

Overall, Casanova is a lovely place, and I’ll definitely return, particularly when I need reliable Wi-Fi along with quality food.

Second Visit to Casanova palolem

I returned to Casanova with a fellow nomad friend who, like me, appreciates good food. I had raved to her about Casanova’s great food, fast Wi-Fi, and comfortable setting.

Initially when we got here we sat at the second floor which i wasn’t even aware the first time they had a second floor, it was quite nice here.

She wasn’t hungry upon arrival and just wanted coffee – a staple for many nomads, though I’m not particularly fond of it myself. Eager for something unique, I chose the Crispy Honey Chicken.

Despite its name, the chicken wasn’t particularly crispy, but it was well-prepared, with plenty of flavorful, slightly spicy sauce. the easy explanation is that it was super tasty.

We spent several hours here, so eventually, we sought the best spot for comfort and access to a power outlet. Surprisingly, there were only three spots with plugs in this two-story restaurant – two on the first floor and one on the second.

We sat in the 4 people table on one side of the restaurant’s first floor.

Around 6 pm, my friend decided to eat finally . We ordered Shahi Paneer and Paneer Lababdar, accompanied by three butter rotis.

The Shahi Paneer, with its delicious cashew-based gravy, was the standout dish.

the Paneer Lababdar was also enjoyable, reminiscent of my grandmother’s cooking. It featured a tomato-based sauce with vegetables and a bit of cheese on top. However, the rotis were heavy and thick, which didn’t quite pair well with the dishes.

The Wi-Fi was consistently excellent this time as well, ranging between 80 and 120Mbps, making our work session productive and enjoyable.

I’m hoping to return to Casanova to try more dishes, as everything seems to be of high quality here.
